Recently, SAIL Uganda reached out to 2000 market vendors and 1000 customers within 20 selected markets. Using audio recordings, the organisation delivered correct and accurate prevention messages on prevention and control of COVID-19, Gender Based Violence, sexual & reproductive health rights and corona virus stigma.

The organization the standard operating procedures of observing social distance and thereafter act as change agents. This was conducted successfully by hiring a Public Address System alongside the Ministry of health film van.

To ensure continuos message transfer, 200 aprons were procured and distributed. These had prevention and awareness messages including ZIYIZA CORONA TONSEMBERERA (Practice social distancing to avoid COVOD-19), TOKAKA MUKWANO (Negotiate for safer sex), WABEEWO OKUTEESA MUMAKA (Promote peaceful negotiations in homes to avoid Gender Based Violence). These were distributed to vendors in each of the 20 selected markets.


In addition, as a measure of preventing communities from Covid-19 SAIL-Uganda and KCCA also distributed Masks to communities
